UNITED States of America/ Happy Independence Day

"...One Nation…"
Nation suggests unity. It says it in our Nation’s title, “UNITED States of America” However, unity is far from what I can say we have here in America. I see more hate and fast-spreading disputes every day. We are quick to divide ourselves by religion, by race, and by love preferences. You are allowed to have a different opinion. You are allowed to have a different religion. You are allowed to love a different person. You are allowed to be different. Diversity is part of what makes this nation beautiful. It’s not okay to separate yourself from those that have different opinions. It’s not okay to assume that they’re wrong because they don’t agree with you. It is not okay to condemn others and strip them of their rights because they go against your religion. There is no unity in separation. I believe in this Country that our founding fathers fought so hard for 239 years ago. Today and everyday I urge you to acknowledge every other person as a valid human with important opinions, beliefs, and value. I urge you to hold back on that Facebook argument, even if you think you’re right and deem it necessary to prove that other guy wrong. I urge you to acknowledge these differences that individualize us and embrace them rather than view them as a means to separate yourselves from others. We are citizens of the United States of America. Let’s be unified.
I hope you all had a happy Independence Day, l'll leave you on my favorite portion of the Declaration of Independence:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
